We actually are planning on the cluster continuing for several more years.
We are actively in discussion about releasing Event Content to replace that which Wild Card has done in the past. Adding dino mods that will enhance the playstyle we embrace, and looking at new map mods that are being made and presented to the ASE community.
In view of the recent Roadmap from Wild Card, we are also discussing how to handle incoming players from official maps. Stay tuned for more information as the timeline approaches.
Final Content Update: In June for ARK’s 8th Anniversary, the release of ARK: Survival Evolved’s final content update, which includes the fan-voted Rhyniognatha!
Official Servers: With the launch of ASA at the end of August, Wild Card will be taking down all Official Servers on Xbox, PlayStation, and PC – at that time, the final save-datas from the ASE Official Servers will be uploaded for players to re-host on their own servers or play in singleplayer/non-dedi, as well as slightly earlier snapshots.
You will still be able to play on single-player, non-dedicated, player-dedicated, and unofficial servers.
Feature Sunset: With the launch of ASA, Wild Card will be ending official support for Primitive+, Split Screen, and Procedurally Generated Maps. These aspects of the game will not be ported to the new Unreal Engine 5 version. (August 2023)
ARK: Survival Evolved Updates: will be limited to crashes and critical bug fixes. (After August 2023)

We are actively in discussion about what changes ASA will bring to the ARK franchise and how that will affect our gaming group. We will most likely present an ASA Island as soon as it is distributed to the unofficial communities. With other maps being added as the content is released.
ARK: Survival Ascended is a next-generation remaster of our beloved ARK: Survival Evolved, harnessing the power of Unreal Engine 5. It will be released on Xbox Series S/X, PC (Windows/Steam), and PlayStation 5 by the end of August 2023. The base game will include The Island, Scorched Earth, & SoTF. Other Canon, and DLCs will be available over the next two years.
ARK: Survival Ascended will be a standalone package released on every platform (PC Windows/Steam, Xbox Series S/X, and PlayStation 5) at $59.99. The package will include the following pieces of content built-in (not sold separately), with each remastered and altered for the next-generation:

Scorched Earth (Released at Launch)

The PACK team are relaying any news we see about ARK 2 to the community as we have firm confirmation of the information. Currently ARK 2 is delayed until the last quarter of 2024, maybe early 2025.
