Conan the Barbarian’s magic finally comes into play. However, it works differently than you know it from typical MMOs. You cannot throw a fireball at the push of a button, you must prepare your learned spells. Sometimes ritual sacrifices are also necessary or other resources that you as a sorcerer should carry with you.
Your first step as a future wizard should be to seek out the NPC sorcerers scattered around the world. They usually stay alone or in pairs in various camps. If you have defeated a Sorcerer, you might have looted a Dead Sorcerer's Map. Note. If this note is used F, a section of the main Map is displayed.
Once you have received the map, you can go to the location on the map. This is a cave, which is only guarded by a few wild creatures. At the end of this cave, you will find an altar and a magic book. If you interact with this, you will learn your first two spells directly, you will receive your own magic book and a magic wand.

By Interacting with the Book on the Table and you will learn: Basic Sorcery (Knowledge) as well as your first two spells:

If you have made a wand you can now equip it and wield it. You can start with the magic with the attack button. You have to know that all spells are divided into different schools of magic. Once you start casting, runes will appear in front of you for you to target. If you choose one of them, it will continue and more runes will appear. The spell is only cast when the second rune is chosen. With more devastating spells, you sometimes have to choose more than 2 runes.

That sounds more complicated than it actually is. But once you get the hang of it, it takes less than a few seconds to cast a spell.
Sorcery is now one of the strongest skills you can acquire in Conan Exiles. These don’t come without a price, however. For the smaller spells, you often need different types of bags, which you can loot from the satchels of NPC magicians. Larger spells increase your own corruption. And even if you shed your corruption through dancers, as usual, you need a certain level of corruption for stronger spells.
For the new players: You can recognize the corruption by your health and stamina bars. A purple area opens up in these, reducing your maximum stamina and life points. So you become a frailer but at the same time a powerful magician. Literally, a glass cannon.
With a higher corruption, you can now improve your attributes and thus unlock new bonuses, at the price of corruption. The power of the corrupted perks will require sacrificing living humans, and by doing so you will be able to earn Soul Essence to use these perks.
However, this causes your corruption to remain permanent the more you use it to improve your attributes, once corrupted perks are unlocked, your corruption will be locked to that level, and only resetting your attributes will cleanse the corruption.
By the way, you can tell the degree of corruption of your character by looking at it.
When you interacted with the spell book in the cave, you also unlocked the recipe for the thaumaturgy table. Your magical workbench, so to speak, with which you can expand your magic book.
As you continue to fill your book with spells, you will also learn new recipes using the Words of Power. With these Words of Power you will learn how to craft the Sacrificial Stone and the Circle of Power.
You can offer blood sacrifices to get souls and blood or summon beasts, for which you then need the sacrificial blood. If you place a sorcerer slave at your table, you can use failed sorcerous spell pages to craft the spell pages needed for upgrades. So don’t throw them away if you find them on other sorcerers.
To learn more Words of Power, you can upgrade your Tome of Kurak up to 15 times.

Words of Power are sorcery spells formed using a Focus, such as the Arcane Staff. Words are spoken as they are selected from floating stones etched with mystical symbols.

This spell is currently bugged and does nothing other than cause a purple rippling effect at the edges of the screen. Lasts for five minutes or until the Arcane Staff is put away.

Causes uncommon and rare resource nodes to glow with ghostly waves that can be seen through solid objects. Lasts for one minute. Crystal and Star Metal Ore cannot be detected.

Summons a glowing green wisp that follows the player, acting as a hands-free light source. Lasts for one and a half minutes.

Causes the area about 80 meters around the player to be filled with a dense fog while numerous zombies raise from the ground. Each zombie is quite weak, only having 100 health each. The zombies will wander around in the fog aimlessly until an enemy is detected. Lasts for three minutes, but zombies will begin dying randomly after around two minutes. This is an area of effect spell that can be countered by any other area of effect spell.

Summons a bat demon that picks the player up and can fly them around for a short time. The bat demon cannot be summoned in a confined environment. The bat demon has 400 stamina, which drains quite rapidly - and even more so when gaining elevation, which can be done with the jump button. Running out of stamina, colliding with any solid object, nearing the ground, or pressing the crouch button will cause the bat demon to drop the player.

Creates an ethereal clone of the player nearby that strongly draws the aggro of enemies. Although the clone only has 100 health, it is immune from damage. The clone does not attack or move around, but will go through the motions of casting spells, the clone glows in the dark, & lasts four minutes.

Turns the player invisible. NPCs cannot see the player, even if one stands directly in front of them. However, enemies that were already aware of the player prior to casting the spell will not be fooled. To other players, an invisible sorcerer will look like a glassy figure, see-through but visible, especially if moving. Attacking or interacting with objects will cancel the effect, but drawing weapons, climbing, and taking damage will not. Lasts five minutes or until cancelled

Creates a temporary bridge out of ice in the direction the player is aiming. Cannot cast this spell while standing on an ice bridge, disallowing the construction of extensions. Maximum range is approximately eight blocks. Lasts forty seconds.

Slows falling speed, allowing the player to fall from great heights without taking damage. This spell also affects jumping, allowing one to jump higher and farther than normal. Lasts one minute.

Harvests all resources up to a distance of 30 meters around the player. Harvesting power is approximately equal to a steel Pickaxe, though it is not equivalent to any actual tool.

Causes a dense darkness filled with spider webs and sounds of nonexistent monsters in an area 80 meters around the player. Walking over spider webs significantly slows movement speed. Bright sources of light, such as Radium Gem Standing Torches will greatly reduce the effectiveness of the darkness. Lasts one minute. This is an area of effect spell that can be countered by any other area of effect spell.

Creates a lightning storm about 40 meters around the player with 1-4 random lightning strikes every six seconds. Lightning inflicts random damage and can cause damage at range to multiple creatures or objects near a strike. Lasts two minutes.
