We have chosen a limited but satisfactory grouping of QoL mods that provide the best overall playing experience for your gaming experience, and a structured rule package that enhances Quality of life. We try to provide the best environment to build the base of your dreams, but also balanced with the knowledge that load times are important too!

DARK AND LIGHT TRANSFER SYSTEM:
Transfer Steps:
1) On the current server you need to travel to a World Resurrection Altar Node that is controlled by your race.
2) While at the altar.
Select Fast travel and the world map will appear.
At the bottom of the map select the Tab Transfer to another SERVER.
3) The 2 Worlds will appear,
Select the Archos - The Path (BLUE) or Gaia - The Shard, (RED) world.
A list of servers available to transfer to will Pop up.
4) Select the server, ( either "The PACK PvE Sacred Path 3xXP 3xH 15xT" or "The PACK PvE Shard 3xXP 3xH 15xT")
You will need to WAIT based on the timer for your items to transfer.
(NOTE: often its just the timer you must wait on and you do not have items that won't transfer. There is no hard defined list of things that won't transfer, but avoid any items that are a product of a mod, just as a safety measure.)
Once the timer is up click accept, and it will commence loading your character onto the new sever. (Could take up to 15 mins to transfer. Patience is needed)
5) Once the game loads on the new Server, you will be on the World map again.
6) Select the TAB at the bottom that says "Download DnL Character"
and you will need to wait about 10 min or longer for the character to appear on the list.
Select the character and click download.
Now select where your character will spawn by selecting a world Resurrection Altar to travel too.
That's it.
Transfer Problems:
Warning: Transfers on an UN-Official cluster are not always guaranteed to happen smoothly, and without loss of inventory items. We are unable to provide any refunds to persons or clans for loss of items, resources, in-game properties and so on, regardless of the reason.
There have been reports of players losing their character by using the transmitting-feature. This is often caused by Steam cloud error, client crash, server rollback/maintenance (restarts), or client buffer overload issues, when attempting to download or upload before the next server save, so use this feature at your own risk. Sometimes items are lost when transferring. This is why we ask that you wait 15 to 30 mins, so the server saves the players inventory. If you only carry a small amount of items in your inventory, you will transfer without as many issues. Transferring pets and tames in soul stones may or may not work. Those that are modded by "Invasion - The Shard" for use in “The Path”, will not transfer.
Client Crashes that result in death.
When you transfer: Keep in mind that your data goes into the Steam Cloud network and The Pack Gaming Owners and Admins have no way to recover this data. DO NOT TRANSFER from 20 MIN. Prior to a RESTART, and wait 30 Min. AFTER a Restart to Transfer again. So that data is properly transferred and not lost.
Characters/Tames/Items uploaded to Steam Data cloud have a 24-hour time limit.
Ensure you are set to download them into another server before the timer runs out, or else your items will decay in your Steam upload when the timer goes past 0.
Some tips for recovering a "Lost in Transmission Character"
Sometimes when transferring the game drops out, you just need to rejoin the server.
If you attempt to upload after the 5 min. to restart warning from a server, and you lost your character on the server you transferred TO, the game will still force you to create a new character as if you do not have any on the server despite it existing. Please return to the server you uploaded from to regain your character.
Server Restarts, and Server Crashes (Not Client Side Crashes)
Server Restarts, and Server Crashes will have a 15 to 30 min. Rollback to the save Prior to the restart, or the last save before the Crash. All Data collected between the Save time stamp and the restart or Crash will be erased. This means if you transfer in or out just before a RESTART your information and what you have pulled out of the terminal will be deleted. The Pack Gaming is not responsible for replacing items or dinos.
The shattered remains of the mother planet Gaia float in stark contrast against the sky on nearby satellite planet, Archos, serving as inescapable evidence of the dark forces surrounding the world. As a lone explorer in the wilderness, you must learn to understand the terrain, natural resources, as well as how to domesticate the local creatures and build a home. You will need to harness and control the magical energy that courses through the planet, or you risk being consumed by the looming darkness that permeates throughout the planet.
Every aspect of Dark and Light has been re-imagined, re-worked, and upgraded from the 2004 original. Gaia’s very existence is dictated by primal elemental forces, including wind, earth, water, fire, light, and darkness.
Ages ago, Gaia was attacked by dark forces and collapsed, plunging the world into darkness. Many sought exodus to Archos, one of Gaia’s satellite planets - unwittingly (or for some, perhaps intentionally) bringing the dark forces along with them. As a result, Archos’s atmosphere has been adversely affected, causing some strange occurrences on the planet during the night.
Magic permeates throughout everything Dark and Light, and the line between physical and magical becomes increasingly blurred as the game progresses. There are dozens of magical skills related to survival, exploration, defense, transformation, control, attack, and more.
Dark and Light features dozens of magical beasts, including dragons, griffins, unicorns, centaurs, goblins, and many, many more. There are also plenty of unique creatures that players have never seen before, and all are native to this planet.
Players and NPCs can all progress through their own growth systems, and players can choose which skills they want their characters to master. These include both physical skills such as speed, endurance, and strength, but can also apply to a character's crafting abilities.
Dark and Light is designed to encourage cooperation at every level; survival, exploration, and combat are all incredibly demanding, and few will be able to fully master their surroundings.
Dark and Light's sandbox world affords players the freedom to create and build just about anywhere in the world. Whether you want a secret underground base or a fortress atop a massive floating island, if you can reach it, you can build there. As the forces of darkness simmer on the horizon, defending your homestead will become increasingly important.
Archos is still threatened by the total collapse of Gaia and a massive invasion by the forces of darkness. Even though the portals that link Archos to Gaia have closed, darkness emanates from the mother planet, affecting all the living creatures on Archos. Whether to embrace the darkness or fight it is a choice that remains solely with you, and it is your choice that will represent the future of the world.
